Metropolis Revisited (Inside Out Upside Down)

These iPhone images were shot in and around a shopping complex in the central business district of Sydney, Australia. The series is intended as an homage to Fritz Lang’s 1927 film Metropolis, the escalator images in particular are intended to reference the stairway scenes from the iconic film.
