Giulia Macario

Giulia is drawn to pictures that have a soul – like someone breathed life into them and left behind only the traces. Always looking for the beauty in the every day – the discarded, the abandoned, and the calligraphic. Her work is often abstract, sometimes dark, and focuses primarily on black and white imagery, though her signature splash of red is smeared across the lens of many of her photos like ink drops of emotion.
