Charreria

The National Sport in Mexico is the Charreria and is a symbol of pride for Mexicans.
The series of photos presented here tries to take the viewer behind the scenes of a
tournament. They say if you want to be the best Charro, you have to learn how to ride a horse before you learn how to walk. Entire families gather around to see and practice this sport. After the match, you can see broken bones, broken teeth, scars and scratches in the Charros. And yet, for these individuals, Charreria is a way of life.
