Picturing Her
My work has been described by others as “dream-like,” yet dreams are personal; their significance cannot be felt by others. An observer may assess my work from a technical aspect as well as the subjective experience of unspoken dialogue. In this way, we can evaluate ourselves, deciding how wide is the chasm between “dream” and “dream-like”. My work pokes at the observation that we are all swimming in a sea of “-like,” barely able to distinguish where the authentic ends and the assimilated experience begins.
